Another fave from today’s #eastsideculturecrawl, @jl.woodwork’s fantastic word typography & light installations.
@rachael_ashe, @anneonbowen, and I were sad that we missed seeing the “Bacon” sign as it was sold and leaving the premises just as we arrived there. I highly recommend checking out both his and Rachael Ashe’s studios tomorrow! Both are located just east of Woodland Park. #eastsideculturecrawl #ecc #vancouverartists #art #artwork #craft #vancouver #igersvancouver
It was such a lovely surprise to see one of my favorite servers, Jess, out at Ask for Luigi. I hadn’t known that this was Pourhouse’s third endeavor, and thus hadn’t expected to see her there. She’s one of the most genuine and truly efficient server who is part of Pourhouse’s family. We had a lovely shirt chat and got to know one another a little more beyond the usual patron and staff niceties. Happy coincidences.
Excited for the start of the GIRHL project going forward into R&D phase. Proud to be a part of the R&D team, putting efforts into developing a novel low cost device to help reduce the rates of stillbirths and low birthweight. For more info: http://www.girhl.org/stillbirth_lowbirthweight/
A beautiful day of remembrance. Not only to the war victims and vets, but my father also. Today I set my father’s ashes on its journey back to its origin, mother nature. The rest of his ashes as requested made its way to the Pacific Ocean, off into the sunset.
Wishing you well on an adventurous and fun journey, Dad. I love you. And have immense gratitude for you and the sacrifices you made in your lifetime, the villages you helped in Africa. And should you remain to watch over my sister and I, yes please and thank you…
