early morning river traffic

early morning river traffic

Continuing the series of posts on my visit to LiJiang, Guilin… Since we were the only boat with only two passengers and foreigners to boot, we were definitely a sight for the locals in early morning river traffic. It was neat to see the riverside residence have their morning market riverside. Too bad we didn’t have time to stop off, it would have been neat to experience
—– I had hired a private fixer/guide to get us a early morning sunrise boat ride down the river, before all the tourist ferries were out on the water. Our river trip began at 6:30am aboard a local transport boat that seated about 6 inside and an open deck for cargo or people, much like the one pictured in the first photo. The dawn and sunrise on the misty river was incredible. It still seemed like a dream

Curious water ox. It was a treat to see water oxes greeting us before their work day started. The dawn and sunrise on the misty river was incredible. It still seemed like a dream.❤️ This shot was taken at dawn, just before sunrise.
